Current Medical Assistant Diploma Or Certificate required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-3 years experience in a clinical setting.
Must be computer literate with excellent grammar and typing skills:
(Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR programs) Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
Greet and assist all patients in person or by phone.
Schedule, reschedule, confirm patient appointment in a timely manner.
Verify Insurance coverage, determine patient eligibility.
Generate letters for authorizations.
Prepare charts, copy, scan as needed.
Obtain vital signs.
Obtain medical history, together with the doctor, interview, and educate clients ensuring informed consent, record the findings of physical exam performed by doctor.
Reconcile billing at the end of patient visit, communicate with billing Co.
Medically knowledgeable and willing to learn.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks in a timely manner.
