Job Description:
Under supervision, perform clerical work in the areas of Technology and Information Services records; and perform related work as required.
Type with accuracy from clear copy or handwritten notes; understand and carry out oral and written directions; tactfully and courteously answer questions by telephone; interpret, apply, and communicate the rules, regulations, and policies of Technology and Information Services Office; operate a personal computer and enter data into necessary tracking systems; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
Modern office methods and equipment, including computerized and manual records systems; proper reception and telephone techniques; proper English usage, spelling, vocabulary, and grammar.
Knowledge ofBernards specific office procedures and policies.
SCOPE:
The Technology Assistant completes clerical work in areas of Technology and Information Services; provides informational and routine services for the Technology Department.
This includes but is not limited to administrating active directory user accounts new hires and terminations following established procedures; manage meter readings to process invoices on a monthly basis, which includes maintaining an accurate report of devices in the Copier Inventory list.
Computer skills include the ability to use common software applications for spreadsheets or databases, word processing applications, and may update and/or maintain information on a web site application environment.
KEY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
Performs various administrative support tasks related to Technology and Information Services; organizes, prioritizes, and completes tasks in a timely manner.
2.
Screen calls for T.

S department, taking brief messages and passing these on via the email system, messenger system or direct communication; connecting callers to staff members personal direct line voicemail.
3.
Maintain active directory and central administration user profiles are up to date per standard operating procedure.
4.
Validates and prepares purchase orders using P.
O.
tracking system and acquiring necessary approvals; and tracking shipments in a timely manner.
5.
Create and update materials for end-user frequently asked questions (FAQs) when necessary.
6.
Orders any equipment as necessary using P.
O.
tracking system.
7.
Ensures that departmental procedures are followed to track inventory to provide warranty cross-reference; researches, accounts for any missing items and job costing.
8.
Provides hands-on assistance and troubleshoots all phone equipment failures and services issues for all users.
9.
Provides training and technical expertise, escalating to Support Desk or Operations Support when necessary.
10.
Processes and maintains accurate on-line data and/or records filing system.
11.
Prepares, scans, images, and indexes transcripts and other student records for placement in on-line computer database system.
12.
Maintain an organized and presentable work environment.
13.
Maintain service team shared calendar for any necessary events (new hire, out of office days, training sessions, etc).
14.
Manage meter readings to accurately process invoices in a timely manner at month end; including accurate reporting of devices within the tracking system.
15.
Places and evaluates phone and data orders, coordinates and oversees all phone work orders.
16.
Audits, sorts and distributes monthly Call Detail reports to all departments.
17.
Verifies and makes changes to cost allocation reports which are then sent to Accounting for posting of phone charges to all departments.
18.
Generates a monthly report for all phone work performed by vendors and new equipment purchases for the company.
19.
Places phone equipment orders.
20.
Setup mobile devices, phone/tables with email accounts and business applications.
21.
Transfers data on phone/tablet upgrades 22.
Verifies, organizes and sorts deliveries of computer and telecommunication equipment ordered throughout the company.
23.
Ensures that departmental procedures are followed to track inventory throughout the District to provide warranty cross-reference; researches and accounts for any missing items.
24.
Performs routine duties utilizing microcomputer, terminal and related equipment.
25.
Performs a variety of clerical duties as assigned.

department of any changes of pricing and purchase procures.
27.
Maintain accurate inventory of computers, copiers and mobile devices.
