QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Summary:
Responsible for Receiving, In-Process, and Final Inspection of components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies per QA system procedures to ensure product meets design specifications and quality requirements.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Utilize electrical and mechanical measuring devices and visually inspect to verify compliance of components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies to drawings and product specifications.
Must be able to utilize AQL qualifications.
Inspect labeling to verify correct information, placement, and correlation to accompanying documents.
Ability to read and comprehend drawing specifications for mechanical components.
Control non-conforming or discrepant material, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies by tagging and placing in quarantine or staging areas per procedure.
Enter measurement data and other required information into company data base such as logs, forms, checksheets, etc.
Receive and inspect incoming supplier shipments to identify and verify that quantity and quality match purchase order and any required documentation are included.
Evaluate incoming repairs and report findings to Quality Assurance Manager.
Report problems to the Quality Assurance Manager immediately.
Conduct quality control activities in a safe and orderly manner following company safety rules and policies at all times.
Offer suggestions for improving quality, safety, and efficiency of company operations.
Must be able to read, understand, and write in English, due to the nature of the procedures, documentation, forms, logs, etc. no exceptions.
Perform internal audits (product, process) I.A.W. internal and customer requirements.
Other duties as assigned by the QA RA Manager or Upper Management.
Must understand Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, Departmental Goals and all procedures that affect the Quality Assurance Department.
