For the GS 06:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 federal grade level. Examples include:
Provided support and assistance processing a wide variety of requisitions; reconciled purchases and maintained files in accordance with Federal regulations and agency directives; processed incoming and outgoing mail; established and maintained the files of the unit, accounted for property inventories, records, etc. (hardcopy and/or electronic format); and used automated software to produce reports, correspondence and other written documents in draft form. For the GS 07:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 federal grade level. Examples include:
Carried out new systems or administrative processes to meet unit needs; received and reviewed all formal incoming/outgoing correspondence for proper format, grammar, punctuation, etc.; use automated databases and software to produce reports and record information; establish and maintain manual and electronic records and filing systems; and produce written documentation, reports, memos, etc. in final format. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
